Our non-profit agency seeks to provide a much underserved community of young adults with special needs with the goods, services, and social experiences they need in order to have a successful, fulfilling, and purposeful life. We choose to foster and guide our special needs community towards positive outcomes in their daily lives while also assisting them to serve others. We look to achieve acceptance in the typical community through social interactions volunteerism and awareness.
Our special needs clientele consists of young men and women over 21 years of age who have "aged" out of the curriculum and educational system provided by their school districts. They have a need for programming and activities that are age appropriate and fulfilling in both a social and from an individual interest perspective. Thus the formation of "Luke's Place".
We also plan to assist local school districts with students in transition and help parents along the way with the process.
